On this day, we honor the life and legacy of José Mantilla, former CEO and President of Legacy Redevelopment Corporation, by hosting a special fundraising event.
All donations raised will go toward grants awarded to Black and Brown-owned businesses in José Mantilla’s name, continuing his commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and uplifting our community.
Doors open at 12:30 PM. The event is 1:00 - 4:00 PM.

We would like to personally extend an invite to attend Legacy Redevelopment Corporation's 3rd Annual Day of Celebration Fundraiser on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Hilton Milwaukee City Center, 509 W. Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53203.
The purpose of this event is to raise funds that can be used to provide Black/Brown-owned small businesses in Milwaukee and Racine Wisconsin with access to capital for business development.
The Day of Celebration was created to honor the life & legacy of our previous President and CEO, José Mantilla. Jose's passion for community banking and empowering communities has changed so many lives. The funds we collect for this event gives LRC an opportunity to continue his legacy.
Together, we can make a significant impact and foster a more inclusive and equitable economic landscape.

2023 José Mantilla Memorial Fund Grant Recipient
The grant of $2,500 from LRC has been instrumental in helping our small business during a critical transition period. This funding allowed us to continue our programming when we pivoted our focus from recovery housing to adult education. With the grant, we were able to maintain our operations and continue providing essential educational services to our community. The financial support helped bridge the gap during this shift, ensuring that we could sustain our mission and continue making a positive impact.
